Who am I?- That is a very good question. It is something that I am figuring out more and more every day. In my nearly 27 years of life there are a few things that I have come to realize...one of which is that I truly believe there is a God and that I am His child. Another thing that I have come to realize is that I am just one of billions of other people, but that I am still special and I have a lot to offer the world. One of the things which I think I am meant to offer to the world is my music, which is truly an integral part of my soul...it comes from deep inside me and I hope that those of you who are visiting this site and who listen to my music can feel that.
I have been singing my entire life and have been playing instruments since I was seven years old. I started with piano and percussion, in my teen years started playing guitar, and most recently have learned bass and ukulele. I have an insatiable appetite for learning more and more instruments and styles of music and I try to improve in each instrument I play a little more every year. I love music and I love poetry. I love writing and am often rather long winded (as you can probably see from this bio). I try not to write things that are cliché or meaningless because the world is filled with both and I'd rather not contribute to that festering cesspool.
I have a large family (I am the youngest of seven children) and I love each member very much. The vast majority of us can sing (in-laws included) and many of us can play instruments. I am the only one who really pursued anything in music so far (though I am trying to convince some of my siblings) but we all love it very much. My family has been a huge influence in my life and I am grateful for them and their support.
One of the things that I hold as a precious belief is that every single human has goodness in them, and I like to look for that goodness in everyone I meet. I believe in the pygmalion effect, which is that people become what we believe they are. If we look for the good and expect it in people, then good things will come back to us and will manifest in those with whom we associate. Those of you who are reading or have read this, I hope we can meet one day and I can see the good things in you.
That is a little bit about me! Enjoy the other areas of my website and I hope we meet in person someday!
